Star Wars is a universe that George Lucas created with meticulous care and pure imagination; its galaxies aren’t just backdrops—they feel as though they stretch on infinitely. The model spacecraft, the sharp flashes of laser light, and the space battles captured with motion‑controlled cameras gave the film a sense of realism that was astonishing for its time.
With ILM, Lucas crafted a vision of space that is both crowded and industrial, yet also mythical and legendary—a place where knights wield lightsabers and starships seem to breathe like living beings.
